What’s included in the basic setup
At Equine Online Design even our basic WordPress set-up is rich in customization. Don’t be fooled by other supposed WordPress website developers – not all WordPress sites are the same! Unscrupulous developers may do any of the following and charge you $1000s for your website:
- use pre-made themes
- offer no multiple custom sidebar options
- offer NO custom page templates
- use WordPress out-of-the-box with minimal setup for optimization
- NOT install useful plugins for spam protection, database backup, security, page management
- Not configure SEO plugins
- offer very little in the way of training or ongoing support
- host you on their personal servers which makes it difficult to keep WordPress and plugins updated
If you wanted someone to install and set up WordPress on your hosting account with a pre-made theme, the basic plugins and the simplest configuration, that should be just a $500 – $1000 job!
Our very basic WordPress setup includes the following:
- custom theme made especially for your business
- custom sidebars for top navigation pages so you have many options to display a variety of sidebar content
- custom page templates so different pages can have different options
- many great (and well researched) plugins installed to give you spam control, database backup, site security, ease of admin use, page management, image management, event calendar and others for your specific business needs
